Nail Polish Ingredients

The composition of ordinary nail polish is generally composed of two types, one is the solid components, mainly pigments, glitter substances, etc.; one is the liquid solvent components, the main use of acetone, ethyl acetate, phthalates, formaldehyde and so on.
Colorants
The colorants of nail polish mainly include inorganic pigments, organic pigments, pearlescent pigments metal glitter colorants. Inorganic pigments are opaque; organic pigments are substances with very bright colors that can give nails bright colors.

Solvent
It is not generally known that the solvent components of ordinary nail polish are basically toxic or harmful substances. The most powerful of them would be phthalates and formaldehyde, followed by acetone and ethyl acetate.
Of the nail polish hazardous ingredients, phthalates can impede normal hormonal balance, leading to serious reproductive damage and other health problems; while benzene and formaldehyde are both carcinogens. There are also reports that some of the ingredients in nail polish may have an effect on the health of the fetus, and thus should be highly cautioned.
